A Fox News poll found that 88 percent of voters express concern about corruption ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, with 60 percent saying they are "extremely concerned" about it.

Lisa Gilbert, co-president of Public Citizen, said in a statement that "the public is furious about the corruption they see from the government." She added that if power shifts in Congress, "the American people will expect the new holders of the gavels to deliver oversight and accountability in a strategic and disciplined way that zeroes in on the real harms that the current regime, in cahoots with corporate power, have carried out at the expense of everyday Americans."
