Jace Yarbrough, a Texas Republican attorney, is projected to win the state House election in the newly redrawn 32nd District, defeating Democrat Dan Barrios, a Richardson City Council member, according to Decision Desk HQ. The seat was previously held by Rep. Julie Johnson (D-Texas). The district was redrawn last year to favor Republicans. Johnson chose not to seek reelection in the reconfigured district.
