Labour will end cooperation with the Green party in 11 councils across England. The move follows an ultimatum demanding that Greens in local government condemn a policy motion passed at their party conference. That motion states that "Zionism is racism" and calls for a single Palestinian state in place of Israel.
Labour's statement said coalitions or other deals with Greens would stop in all local authorities where Greens refused to condemn the policy. Deals with six Green council groups that have condemned the motion will remain in place.
